    Hi Sharon,
The silica cell salt seems like a good idea to me…it’s number 12. You could also try homeopathic silica. Also, evidently a pelvic laser can be helpful, although they’re not cheap. I’ve found progesterone to be quite helpful, personally. I use something over the counter called progest e, you use it topically. These may be temporary and not truly root cause approaches but in case some relief while you go deeper is desired they’re worth a try.

@Elin I sure hope this all leads you to a better place. It sounds like you are really working it! I’ve recently learned that the two shifts I mentioned taking up are not in themselves responsible for my hot flashes but stress hormones play a roll as well, no big shock! So I’m not 100% out of them but they are mild when active. Take good care Elin, I know you will ☺

Hi Julie, out of my own experience with pre diabetes, low metabolism, low carb diet, etc. I would caution against going too low carb but focus on balancing healthy carbs with healthy protein and fats. And for sure getting rid of all PUFA’s. It might benefit him to omit grains & legumes for a while and learn about how to properly prepare them before reintroducing them. It sounds like he needs to heal his metabolism and with that probably leptin resistance. Sarah Kleiner Wellness has a lot of free tips on leptin resistance and there’s a plethora of folks addressing metabolic healing out there. I’ve been on a crash course myself. Eating breakfast within an hour of rising (and having meals regularly throughout the day) has helped me regulate blood sugar and keep diabetes at bay-also taking berberine. I don’t think any of these suggestions are going to get at the root cause but they may help with the de-escalation of things while he goes deeper. Best wishes.

This is from the AV site. If you search the cell salt for your birthday and look into “directions” it will give you your bridge salts. There is also helpful info when you click on the “AV difference” drop down. https://stg-alfavedic-801.uw2.rapydapps.cloud/product/tissue-salt-no-10-natrium-phosphorica-2/

    Dear Kev,

Have you heard of Endotoxemia/metabolic endotoxemia? I think it’s probably a hidden epidemic and at the root of most health issues-currently…including respiratory troubles (pneumonia). If you haven’t I highly recommend looking into it. I’m happy to share sources, etc. if you’d like.

    Blessings ❤

I meant to say many health issues rather than most. Of course wellness is multi faceted.

Thank you for the update and do I ever get it! At some point quality of life has to take priority. And truly, getting progressively worn down from it all seems counter productive to a holistic health journey. You’ve been incredible in your pursuit and effort. I thought of you and these conversations on here as I continue to work on my own imbalances and possible root causes. I recently uncovered some things I thought could be worth sharing as it seems they’re in the hidden epidemic arena and could be unknowingly affecting many of us. I don’t remember if these are things you’ve already looked into and I wouldn’t be surprised if you have. I’ve tested for having a pretty heavy mycotoxin load, also lyme which evidently goes hand in hand with mold. I also need cavitation surgery which is connected because whatever lyme may or may not be it can hide out in our mouths-in spaces which were not remedied well such as root canals and most commonly wisdom tooth extraction sites. It’s all a lot to explain but the bottom line here is we’re dealing with things that affect our master hormone…the pituitary gland, which then affects all other hormones. This lyme, mold thing can be easy to overlook and miss and the varied symptoms can seem unrelated. So just thought I’d put it out there, at the very least it seems knowing the pituitary needs extra love can do us all good. Continue to take good care and enjoy your recent liberation from symptoms ✨

Hi Elin, I’ve experienced a huge decrease in the amount and severity of hot flashes since this thread was started several months ago and we all tried and shared various things. There are two things I’ve taken up that seem to be helping. Eating balanced and regular meals without fail in order to keep blood sugar regulated. For me going more than 3 hours between meals can put me at risk of poor sleep and hot flashes. I would say my average is about 4 hours between meals so there’s room for improvement. I just had an accidental experiment as I unavoidably had to skip supper two days ago and have been thrown back into hot flashes ever since. I think they are beginning to subside now. The second thing has been taking an over the counter product called progest e. I’ll share a link. This was recommended by Dr. Ray Peat regardless of lab results. I’m inclined to agree, at least for my body at this time. Also, Dr. Peat recommended increasing protein to 80 grams (for women) and sugars (fruit, honey, milk, etc.) for hot flashes. Understanding what works for me may not for you, or others, I still wanted to share…in case. https://www.longnaturalhealth.com/Dr-Peats-Progest-E-Complex-34-ml

As we await Barre’s response will you please share anything notable that may come out of your appointments? I don’t want to interject but being on the journey myself I do have a couple of things I’m working on with some success. Let me know if you’d like to chat more about it Elin.

Exactly! That was how I entered the Metabolic healing space-hypothyroidism. I’ve learned a lot since then, at least I hope I have…it’s a process.

    Hi Kev,

I’m learning about it myself and yes, you definitely seem to be in the ball park! I will private message you a couple of resources I’ve found informative and helpful. I’m sure there is so much more available. Ray Peat had a lot to say about it, although I understand his perspective on things can be controversial. I wish you the best and I hope you’ll keep us in the loop as you heal.

I agree with Mike and was also going to reach out and recommend cell salts. I had something like a bone spur at the base of my palm and some time after starting my constitutional and bridge salts along with the 12-1 it resolved. Such a relief and I trust yours will also.
