AronMemberThe root should absolutely be used for Essiac since it contains emodin. I would look for a formula that contains at least 20-30% sheep sorrel root. It grows prolifically in the pacific northwest. We often harvested the rot when I was on Vancouver Island. Essiac can be used with kidney support. I liked the previous comment on structured water and I’d think that would be very supportive.
Those that use herbs for cancer support say that chaparral can induce a reversal of multidrug resistance in cancers cell and support those cancers specifically induced by viruses. I don’t believe too much in that anymore (especially around viruses) but if you are being called to it, chaparral is a great herb. Just be warned, I’d store it in multiple bags since it smells so much.
Other great things that I have used in my practice for those going through cancer are German New Medicine, Mistletoe (Viscum album) SQ injections, etc. Hope this helps!

AronMemberHey Steven,
I like the alchemical discussions! I separate the sulfur + mercury from the salt through a buchner funnel under vacuum. I take the salts outside and then incinerate in a corningware dish. I let things turn white and smolder at which point I turn the ashes. Afterwards, I begin calcination over a hardwood fire for several hours. I then bring the crude salt and corningware inside to finish up on the stove top. Then begins dissolution and 3 round of leaching to get pure potassium carbonate. The contrast between the Nigredo (dark) and Albedo (light) work is fascinating to watch. I’m still very much learning and would love to hear how others are approaching this.

AronMemberHey Cory,
Thanks for starting this thread. In regards to getting ashes pure white, I think this is an area of confusion for lots of folks. When I studied with Phoenix Aurelius, he mentioned lots of teachers say they get pure white salts when in fact they are a light grey. Many teachers also use this as a way to bolster themselves and claim their students failure is because of their “lack” of spiritual progress. It was a way for them to separate themselves and seem larger than life.
That being said, I incinerate outside after straining the sulfur and mercury from the salts. After that, I calcine for a few hours outside and then finish it up on the stove inside to get the salts a little lighter. From there is dissolution which you mentioned. Usually three round of leaching in order to get pure potassium carbonate. Would love to hear more about how your practice with spagyrics is going and others’ experiences.

AronMemberThe mistletoe is a homeopathic preparation. If interested, PAAM has more information. Many of the doctors wrote a book called Mistletoe and the Emerging Future of Integrative Oncology thats worth a read.

AronMemberI’ve found small rocket stoves don’t produce too much. There are also propane burners but you do miss out on the actual fire element when you use those.

AronMemberDr. Lando,
Thanks so much for the information! Fascinating to hear how you are making preparations and it’s really inspiring what you are doing. Are there any books/teachers/resources you’d recommend looking into to learn more about the glycerin fermentation and spagyric preparations you are making? Will you or Alfavedic offer trainings in these areas?
I spent some time learning how to make spagyrics and other items of pharmacopeia from Robert Bartlett and Phoenix Aurelius, but am just beginning. For my spagyrics, I mostly have been using an exogenous mercury of 95% organic cane alcohol for extracts. I also use ultrasonication as well. However, I’d definitely love to learn about alternatives and the rotovape.

AronMemberI’d love to take on a sacred lifetime commitment to healing. If you ever do take on apprentices, I’d love to hear! As a young person in the field of alchemy, functional medicine, and osteopathy, it’s hard to find good mentors like yourself Dr. Barre.
