SherryMemberI have had success with the Megahomme distiller (heavy duty) on Amazon. I distill three gallons a day. I figured out how to service it myself. It is not hard to do. I hope that this helps.
Peace and health to you!

SherryMemberDear Douglas,
I cannot thank you enough for your detailed and most thoughtful response!!! I am such an animal lover and cats especially! Vin is doing well! He is eating and drinking normally and seems to have his normal energy level. He is currently eating what the vet recommended for a diet (Hill’s Science Diet Kidney Function early care). He seems to like it. I am not thrilled with the first ingredient being corn… but I realize the protein has to be of a lesser content. I giving him distilled analemma water wand stirred water in a water fountain that he loves. I pray for him every day without fail! So far no need for fluids. I am living in the moment. I am reading from the many helpful sites that you mentioned and will keep them as reference material going forward. Happy to hear that you have had effective treatments on hand for your cats. I am grateful to have found such a supportive community here.
Sincerely,
Sherry

SherryMemberDear Deb,
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones as well! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my questions. Your suggestions are most helpful. That is a fantastic idea to compost the plants back into the soil! I am going to try this. It makes such sense to do that. I will try your suggestion of azomite and organic worm castings. I can’t wait to see what transpires from this. I completely understand why you do not have a compost pile under those circumstances. We are on the east coast by Atlantic City. We rarely have bears only deer and sometimes foxes. As a new gardener I am having such fun with experimentation. There are few things that I have tried that I have not watched for too long to say how they have affected the garden. Although I have been very pleased with the results so far. I would suggest intention with planting. I do pray over my garden daily, I have tried putting the seeds in my mouth and soaking them before planting, I placed wind chimes around the area, add my ash from the woodstove, buried about one hundred quartz crystals to increase the electricity, buried electroculture poles and I try to use copper digging tools. I also have multiple bird feeders around the garden.
These are all fun things to try and I hope someone else could benefit from this as well.
Thank you for all that you and Barre do you are appreciated!
Sincerely,
Sherry

SherryMemberHello Douglas,
Thank you once again for your insight! It is quite clear that you have experience here. It is so amazing that you have cats that have thrived so long under your care. Actually, much of this is commonsense (not in reference to your advice) to the situation. The medical field seems to complicate things. It is a business as well. There are some very well-meaning vets as well as doctors. I do see beyond that now. It is always the fear that drives us to make decisions that we would not have made in retrospect.
These days everyone seems to be an expert on all topics and I now realize that we must try things on our own to see what works best for us and follow our gut instincts about who to listen to and that is what brought me to Alfavedic. I do not believe in coincidences.
My first gut instinct when I read the label seeing that the most prominent ingredient was corn the alarm bell went off. I am aware of glyphosphate poisoning and this disturbed me greatly. I do feel that in breaking down meat the body does have to work harder-not trying to refer to a specific food camp to be in. I do not eat meat but I do eat my own quail and chicken eggs and much of the food I grow. I realize that cats are carnivores. I just want Vin to thrive. I know that food is only part of the equation. I think the key to animal health follows much of the same pattern as human health.
I will keep searching and trying to do my best for him. I did order the freeze-dried food you recommended from amazon and we will see what happens.
It is truly a journey and I appreciate you taking the time to care and communicate.
Most Sincerely,
Sherry and Vin

SherryMemberDear Douglas,
Thank you so very much for your detailed response. I am going to look into your suggestions. How did your cat respond to that treatment?
I went to our local veterinarian and our cat stayed overnight in the hospital there. They ran every test possible. He was vomiting several times that day earlier. He had been labeled a stage two kidney disease previously by them. I hate to label at all. I knew that he needed fluids but I don’t know how to do that at home or know how to get the access to the equipment. I certainly would be willing if I knew how.
Once you take your pet to the vet they run every possible test under the sun. Our cat is an anxious cat there and I’m sure it was so much stress for him. I felt very badly about that.
Again I appreciate your thoughtful and detailed response.
Love and light to you
Sincerely,
Sheryl Cordivari
