StarkMemberHmm, I don’t have a lot of resources, but I do know there are ways to study “academics” without going the university route. My husband is very academic minded, and I often think of him as a researcher. What he’s learned outside of college and university is not only more in alignment with truth, but it’s expanded his knowledge in a multitude of ways. You do have to be self motivated, but my husband is always using interlibrary loan to check out books for free that we don’t have in our area. He has Body Electric right now and has been really enjoying that. What are some of the things your son is interested in? Maybe that can help lead you? 🙂

StarkMemberI wanted to post an update. We were able to check with a 128 tuning fork, and it didn’t elicit any pain, so believe it’s broken. I was SOOO relieved after we did that!
He is healing up really nicely, and we are able to get a little movement in his foot every day. Right now it’s more swollen on the bottom of his foot instead of the top. I’m happy with how it’s healing.
Thank you everyone who replied, I appreciate everyone who shared your knowledge and resources!

StarkMemberThank you everyone for your responses.
I wanted to clarify: we are not sure we want to subject him to the radiation of an x ray. But we also don’t know if that’s foolish. We don’t want to use an herb or homeopathy of boneset, because I don’t know for sure if it’s broken, and if it is, I don’t know if it’s in the right place. I’ve read and heard to not use that it’s not wise to use that herb if the bone is not properly set (but is that just modern, conventional herbalism talking?)
Here is my husbands take: if it is broken, it will heal well enough at home. If it’s not quite in the right place, it will set itself right over time. Therefore, the negatives of getting an x ray or taking him to a conventional doctor outweigh the benefits.
My take: I have no idea if I’m being ruled by fear, but I believe it is broken. And I am giving him the homeopathic remedy Arnica (I only have 200c), which I think is helping with the bruising and swelling. I am trying to hold my hand over his foot to see if I can sense or learn anything, as well as heal it, but I will admit, I am not very well “trained” or sensitive to these sensations.
So, our goal is to be able to help him heal at home, without the use of conventional doctors or medicine. Unfortunately I probably won’t be using boneset unless I learn something else about it from someone I have faith in that indicates I should be giving it to him.
Comfrey is something we can start applying, and we will continue to use the arnica.
So, I guess that’s the book on the situation. 🙂

StarkMemberThis is very informative, I appreciate you sharing. I have access to a comfrey balm, but now I’m wondering if I should invest in the raw root and leaf. Thank you!

StarkMemberAh, nettle! I had forgotten about that herb, but we have some we harvested last year, and it should be coming up soon. Thank you!

StarkMemberOhh, this is super interesting. Definitely something that sounds like a good investment. Thank you!

StarkMemberHi Amber, thanks for the reply! We’ve been thinking if there is any way to get an x ray and stay out of the system. The chiropractors I work at don’t have an x ray machine, and I think a lot of them in our area refer out for ones…. And we aren’t really sure we want an x ray. 🤷♀️
