I did some research after discovering the absence of the slug population. I found that it is a common benefit. Matt at https://youtube.com/watch?v=Bl5pebZs3uA&si=U1cBBamE5xo6Z-nM

talks about the reasons why. My memory is vague, but recall it is a “clean up” issue, Kev, like you suggested, but it’s the rust in the soil, not the iron per se.

I use the KISS method of electro culture. Natural branches, preferably from my own environment, wrapped with 14 gage copper wire bought in bulk from Home Depot. Very affordable, very easy. I use bamboo poles also.

Sarah and Penny, your approaches to hot flashes resonates with me. I view it as holistic-get-to-the-core-issue approach vs the allopathic-treat-symptoms-as-disease-approach. In the early 90’s there were women who knew this. That’s why today, hot flashes make me think of “fevers” a critical healing mechanism of the body. While I listened to these wise women in the past, it would be 30 years before I could take it to heart. We all travel at our own speed. ? I am so happy to see others going this route, it is a road less traveled. Thank you for sharing. ❤️

Excellent story. Probably a good example of how drugs don’t “cure” and when gone, the issue continues, sometimes worse! This was certainly true for me with my itching issue. I used the prescribed steroid cream and it did stop the symptoms (itching). When I stopped, the itching returned even worse.

When I consider hot flashes now, it makes me think of fevers and how the body uses them to heal. It’s a helluva process living through your symptoms, hoping to get to the core issue, trusting the body for its perfect healing. I’m still going through it, though some very very subtle body sensations suggesting that I may be seeing the light at the end …… ?

The greatest benefit in my landscape was the huge reduction in slugs. I found only a handful throughout the season vs hundreds and hundreds in the past. I wasn’t expecting this. I read afterwards that it has something to do with the copper wrap and the iron /rust) content of the soil. I did see plant damage late fall, but I’m not sure it was ?. The particular plants that had it were too crowded in their pots and likely unhealthy, and became a target.

Love your test pots, Kev. A picture being worth a 1000 words ❤️

The people I know who’ve had Shingles (myself included) were going through a very stressful period in their life. It’s helpful to address this factor.

The man I listened to on how to use my iTeraCare Wand said it would help in the early stages. He laughed, being completely bald, and said it was too late for him. Here’s the link https://youtu.be/V3ogAxFRzUc?si=Be9PGnenbTywh5sn

I have been a recipe cooker for a lifetime. Only recently have I been able to do more “right brain” cooking. When I’m not in the garden, I spend hours in the kitchen making everything from scratch: from bread, to dog food and treats, vanilla, Mayo, bone broths, everything. I love it. Watching cooking videos has helped me gain confidence. I started canning this season, not because I have big harvests to preserve, or because I like canned food, but rather to build my Armageddon stash. I refuse to buy more appliances, so another freezer for food storage is out. Either I dehydrate it or can it. Big surprise. The other day while walking the dogs, I ran into an old acquaintance. She said she’s in her kitchen 5 hrs/day doing exactly the same thing. DIY All scratch. So nice to find another Soul enjoying their “Winter” years (we’re both 76 yrs) doing the same things. Gardening, cooking, eating and washing dishes. ❤️
