The way I see it is like a very large family. The family is all under one roof and there are a lot of kids. The parents regulate the activities of the family but you got a kid over there getting out of control. He’s pitched a fit over something and is now drawing some of the other children into his fray. There’s yelling and screaming and some stuff gets knocked over. It’s getting chaotic. (symptoms in the body)
Do you kill the child?
Of course not that would be ridiculous. But you also can’t have him wreaking havoc. Find out why he is wreaking havoc (root cause – a need not being met, getting overwhelmed by a toxin or emotion/stress) solve and support that situation and then down regulate Johnny so he is no longer having a fit over it. Get him to chill out. (symptoms dissipate)
