NickMemberThanks for your suggestions. I ordered nematodes (natural predators) (Phasmarhabditis Californica). These are so small they crawl into the slugs and kill them. It takes 2 weeks to see results. From what I read this is the most effective way. And once the slugs are gone the nematodes also die off. Fingers crossed. Best would be if the rain would stop but so far it really doesn’t look promising 🙁

NickMemberA little update. The garden isn’t doing so great. There has been so much rain in April and May. In April we had 2x the average of the last 100 years and in May almost 3x of the average of the last 100 years. And all that rain resulted in a plague of naked slugs. So the plants already didn’t grow very much because of all the water and very little sun. And then all the little plants got massively attacked by the slugs
I’ve tried diatomaceous earth against the slugs but they just slitter over it. Now waiting on some containers to make some beer traps. I also looked at copper but saw reviews and pictures of slugs just sliding over the copper strips like they weren’t there so not spending money on that.
I did manage to 3D print the mold for the big cone. But with everything not growing I didn’t feel like making a cone that big.

NickMemberNo soldering of welding. They just slide over each other. The problem with welding or soldering is that the material is different and you interupt the copper pipes of touching each other.
-
NickMemberYou can measure it with plants ?
-
NickMemberI tried mixing my DEearth with basalt but it didnt stick or anything. Next time I put a magnet in see how that work. My basalt does stick to a magnet and the lava powder I ordered years ago as natural fertilzer also sticks to a magnet.
Oef yea the cone. I tried to print it 3 times. First time my filament sensor didnt work when the filament ran out and the other 2 times I got a layer shift after putting on new filament. Got some options left to fix it but it cost more money and a lot more time which I don’t want to spend on it right now. I probably will do it this season and when I do I make sure to upload some pictures.
I am looking forward to put all my seedlings in the garden. The weather has been bad lately. Lots of rain and even some frost last night. So I have to wait 2 weeks more.
You got a nice job. You could secretly apply some electro culture experiments in the gardens of your clients ?

NickMemberSounds super interesting. Especially the stuff about the diatomaceous earth. Paramagnetic basalt reacts with magnetism. I wonder what will happen if I also add to my towers. I’ll definitely try that.

NickMemberThanks that is good info. I can’t make the drawings for the printer myself so I have somebody else do it. I can give him the measurements.
Do you have actual plans to build a pyramid soonish?
-
NickMemberThe golden ratio I knew. The 2 pictures of the angles and measurement of the pyramids, 1 is from the classic and the other the nerubian. It shows the 1.618.
My printer can handle 42x42x48. Now printing the classic cone 41,5 diameter (taking 2 days and 15 hours). I don’t yet have the design for the nerubian cone. Might have it designed soonish.
Looking forward to see you build one of those crazy awesome idea’s you have.
-
NickMemberNice idea to make you own stones. You could add many crystals and copper spirals in there.
For the effect, I heard Yannick mention that the cones work better then a pyramid. One reason I remember was that the cones don’t have to be oriented to the north since they are round they will always work.
Now you inspired me to print a mold for the cone as big as my printer can handle. In the range of 40 cm diameter. I’ll make the print right now.
And I now also wonder what if I use the same angle for the cone as the nerubian pyramid. About the nerubian style pyramids is way less knowledge then the classic pyramid but they do have a great but different effect.

NickMemberThe containers over the plants is mainly against the rain. The are still very small and I don’t want them to be destroyed by heavy rain. So last week they were off because of good weather and coming week will have much rain again.
I like make some pictures when the tomatos are planted. That will explain easier.

NickMemberGood read. I learned a lot, thanks. The frame I’d do more simple. Build the pyramid like how I build my copper pyramid following Yannicks instructions on measurements but from aluminum and then use a line between the diagonals. Just like how the brick layers use a line. You can easily slide it up as your pyramid grows. With copper they go up to 3m x 3m so I guess with aluminum you can go even bigger.
I wish I had space here to build one but I don’t… maybe one day in Colombia.

NickMemberHey Kev
Yea I used a voltmeter on my antenna’s and got results. Also no idea what it actually means but I saw some numbers and that made me excited hahaha
Everything is growing good so far. I can’t wait to transplant them outside. And since I can’t wait I am going to put 3 tomato plants outside this week, 2 weeks to early and see how they fare.
Tho I had problems with germination seeds, many seeds didn’t but no idea iff it’s the seeds or my fault. -

NickMemberYea I had the mold for the spirals made. It’s not exactly how I wanted. The middle part is a little weak so with stronger thicker wire it can break easily. Maybe I have one designed again in the future but for now it does what it needs to do and I’ll keep using it. The file for the cone and spirals are added.
Thanks for the nice words, we are pretty happy ourselves with how everything turned out. Today I started a new addition for the raised bed. We want to sow in circles around the big basalt tower. There can be 3 or 4 bigger circles around the tower. Going to divide the circles with copper wires so we basically create big Lakhovsky circuits. I’ll show those when they are finished.
Looking forward to your idea’s about the pyramids. You go way deeper with your thoughts then I do. Show us a cool design and some basic instructions and good chance I’ll copy it. ?
