StevenMemberHere’s another one, from a few years before the first one I posted. I was vocals again:
-
StevenMemberThis is one of my favourite albums of all time. I use it for vocal warm ups, and it always brings out memories of the end of summer/ beginning of fall. So I like to listen to it as the leaves change and start to fall. The album is by Big Wreck, called “Albatross” I couldn’t find a video that had the whole album, so I just posted my favourite song off the album
-
StevenMemberThanks for the kind words! I’m glad you took the time to check it out, it’s definitely not for everyone lol
-
StevenMemberHoly shit it’s Slash’s cousin! Haha nice man. Back in the day when a whole DJ set could be done on a laptop
-
StevenMemberThe first one posted I imagine would be considered groove metal, while this one here would be what the kids call Grindcore! Ah an old punk rocker eh? I sang in a Ska band for a few years but with the exception of a few bands I never got too far into punk. Oh yeah you were telling me about that! Did they have anything posted on the Googtube?
-
StevenMemberLol they’re a Canadian staple! Manic Street Preachers, I never thought of that comparison before but I like it. I always thought Ian Thornley was one of the few singers who could even come close to replacing Chris Cornell (If such a statement wasn’t sacrilege lol). And yeah Thornley is great too! I’m really glad you liked it 🙂
-
StevenMemberThank you!! It’s rare that I hear anyone say they like the second track better haha. Oh a metal DJ eh? That would have been a blast! Just at bars or festivals?
Haha back in the day it was whiskey that kept this throat in good shape. Now it’s teas, honey, and water!

StevenMemberIs that what it implies? I always used it as a catch all term to encompass inner work and developing a connection to the Source. I can definitely see how people would use it to create false hierarchies though (“I’M more spiritual than YOU”). I’ll remember not to let myself fall into that trap.
I can get behind that! If you’re not having fun, then it’s not speaking to your soul. The Great Work should be about leading a more fulfilling life, not something you have to force yourself to do

StevenMemberI really dig this!
-
StevenMemberThanks for the suggestion Barre, I’ll do so!
That is what excited me so much about Alchemy. The chance to combine something I love – working with plants – with a spiritual path
Although, I do find that I’m lacking a little in the spiritual connection aspect of it. It’s such a massively dense subject, with so many connections to other disciplines, like the various energy works, astrology, etc. and with so many writings to dig through. I’m not sure if I’m not reading the right materials or if the connections are just flying over my head.
I know I’m new to this and like anything it takes time, so I’m not worried about not making those connections right away. It’s just something I’ve picked up on during my studies so far

StevenMemberAh yes Cannabis would be a good one! I love working with Nettles, so I’ll give that a try. I just moved to a new area last year, and I’m slowly getting acquainted with the local foliage. So there will be more added to that list soon enough!
-
StevenMemberThanks for the suggestion Mike! I’ll put this on the list before I make my choice
-
StevenMemberWow, thank you for the explanation Barre, I appreciate that! You’ve given me a list of things to research, and I’ll definitely give your formula a shot
-
StevenMemberBook suggestions! Y’all already know the way to my heart ? I’ll check it out. Yes I was thinking it could be emotional, at least in part, she did come from a rather… tough household when she came to me. We’ve been slowly working through a lot of stuck issues
-
StevenMemberThanks Barre! Do you guys have the shipping to us Snow Mexicans going yet or is it still through that third party you guys have been using??
If you don’t mind me asking, and without divulging any trade secrets of course, what sets your formula apart from the standard oil pulling? I imagine my daughter won’t be the only person I’ll be helping with this issue, it would be nice to have a few ideas going forward
