    I have grown he shou wu in Fort Myers Florida zone 10a, with summer highs in the mid-90s. It survived a brief frost with no problem, although most of winter was generally warm. I have never seen a plant grow as fast as it did. In 2 years it covered a 50′ fence and my shed. With your winters it will probably go dormant, might want to cover it with some leaves at that time.
