How do you feel about Spinoza’s conception of the Source? Do you find it comports with Hermeticism and/or other esoteric conceptions of the All?

I need to refresh my memory on his core epistemology… was he an idealist at all? Any recommended source here for a refresher since college? 🙂

If I had to venture a guess I’d say a rationalist! I’m not well versed in “ists” and “isms”, so hopefully I got the right word haha. He made an argument for the existence of God as the source of All, using rational arguments. To me at least, it seemed he had the same idea of God as the hermetics, but without the occulted esoterics.
