Private Bookkeeping

I generally earn my participation tokens (money) through bookkeeping. Earlier this year, I made the move to operating in the private. I closed my business account, shifting all income streams to my private bank account. Revenue Canada doesn’t know it yet, but I’ll also be shuttering my CAPITAL NAME estate. That being said, currently I take on subcontracts from other bookkeepers that don’t operate privately, meaning I still deal with public entities.
I’d like to change that. I want to shift to bookkeeping for private individuals/entrepreneurs. 99.9% of the silliness of my profession is dealing with taxation, and the legal system built around it. When dealing with clients who operate outside of the public sphere, bookkeeping returns to the profession it should be. It becomes about budgeting, account management, financial planning, GROWTH. Instead of “How can I best fudge my numbers so the tax man isn’t bankrupting me?”. Of course when you’re not worried about the tax codes of countries, I’m no longer bound by borders for work. I’d like to focus more on helping people budget and grow their lives and their business. Perhaps eventually helping people move from the public to the private, as my understanding of that process grows.
A lot of this ties into the eventual launch of my Alchemical Healing practice as well. Helping people with their food budget may sometimes mean helping change their diet. Perhaps they’re spending a ton on medications, can my understanding of Alchemy, or Homeopathy, etc, help with that? Budgeting in general may require a shift in perception, some inner work, maybe even energy work. A vast web of connections between the two ideas is forming in my head.
I don’t want to have to monetize my healing practice, I don’t want to have to feel rushed to prepare tinctures because I need to feed my child this week. Not that I won’t sell certain things or charge for certain services, I most certainly will, but I don’t want to HAVE to. If a client comes to me in desperate need of healing, I want to be able to help that person without potentially undoing all that work by throwing a large bill at them after.
Sorry for the long winded post!
