Hello! Grateful to be here with this community, as I have been following Alfa Vedic for some years now.

I have a burning question as I am now in my first pregnancy and questioning birth certificates and the whole legal structure. I haven’t taken any action yet myself regarding status change, however, I am wondering if I can receive any insight regarding newborns; opinions or experiences about having children without a birth certificate will be very helpful. I have searched high and low and haven’t been able to find decent information or personal experiences regarding this matter. I am unsure how to approach my future child’s legal status. I don’t prefer to obtain a birth certificate, however, I am unsure how navigating the world would be without one. Experienced natural law enthusiasts, what would you do?

Record the birth in your family bible and don’t stress on it! You can always register your property later if you want if needed…

Hi!! Robert Scott Bell (homeopathic doctor) didn’t get birth certificates for his children and he did a podcast answering ?’s on the topic. Hope it helps!! Wish I would have done it with my kiddos way back when.

Actually “Birth” Certificate is a play on words, and used to deliberately imply “Berth”. A newborn is literally considered “unclaimed cargo” at port. If left abandoned it is reclaimed by pirates at the berthing dock, which is why most spend a lifetime “lost at sea”. That being said … home “Birth” followed by “my child doesn’t need no stinkin papers” is the only sane and humanitarian option in my opinion. Souls incarnating at this time will be growing up in a different world in which the predator class has long been extinct.

That perspective really puts it into place … my husband and I just completed your I AM Living Law course and now I feel so much more confident and solidified in my decision to not register. We have been researching for some time, but your resources really integrated it more deeply for me. I am excited to continue to explore more with this group, Ron and Marcia. What a great assistance you all are!

Also…you can get a bible birth record authenticated at the state or federal level and still get a passport, or use it when you need “official” documentation.

Banking could be done with a foreign EIN, instead of a SSN.

Hugh, I am looking into how to authenticate my birth certificate. I have certified copies of my “Certificate of Live Birth”, but in California that seems to be what they issue as a “Birth Certificate”. I am just starting the process of changing my status by applying for a passport under “national” status, but am looking for exact directions for how to authenticate my birth certificate. Any pointers here, or resources that spell it out?

      Thanks!

        Hi Sara,

First thing to consider is if you need to authenticate or not. From what I’ve heard, you can do a special request for the “longer” version in California. Call the office and see what they say. The one with more information is usually the Certificate of Live Birth and doesn’t need to be authenticated. You can see the difference in information between the CLOB and BC by looking at Obama’s CLOB/BC online, that shows the 2 versions for Hawaii. I didn’t authenticate my Hawaii CLOB and got 5 stars. I would talk to some Nationals in California to see what their results have been, since I don’t know too much about California. That would save you some trouble.

As far as how to authenticate, here’s how to do it at the federal level:

You can authenticate at either the federal or state level, but you don’ t need both.

If they try to force you to apostille, you can do this:

Love this solution and knowing it can all work out using different methods. I will continue to explore this all. Thanks so much for your feedback, Hugh!

    Hi Rachael!

Do you know whether you will be planning to have a home birth or a hospital birth?

I had 2 home births, and my midwives recorded a detailed record of live birth – the newborn’s vitals, date, time of birth, weight, and their signatures. This record is my true record of live birth for my children. If one wanted to (which you likely don’t!) the next step would be to take that to the Vital Records and apply for a “Birth Certificate”.

If you are birthing your baby in a hospital, they should record a record of live birth in your child’s medical chart, but they will whisk this away and file for a Birth Certificate for you – usually having you fill out that paperwork on the spot, and then they “kindly” take care of that process for you. So if in a hospital, be sure to get that copy of your child’s live birth record, and do not fill out the paperwork for a “Birth Certificate”.

Hope that helps. Good for you on thinking about this in advance, your baby is blessed to have you as his/her guardian!

      Hi Sara!

My birth plan is to freebirth at home with just my husband completely undisturbed from outside forces. I don’t have a midwife lined up, but am thinking of going to a chiropractor or natural health practitioner as evidence of my pregnancy and possibly bringing the baby after he or she is born to get a signature on my live birth affidavit. Thanks for sharing your experience. I did hear it’s harder to avoid the birth certificate in the hospital because the establishment comes to you when you’re in your most vulnerable state to sign the paperwork. Being at home feels the safest! Your shared experience helps me greatly … really appreciate your feedback! Your children are also lucky to have you as their guardian. 🙂

        Hey Rachael!

I know this post is a little older but I just saw it and figured I’d chime in ?

I freebirthed at home with just my husband and it was a wonderful experience! If you ever have any questions please feel free to reach out.

I did not register my son but did like you said you might: had my chiropractor write up a document affirming my prenatal care (adjustments) while I was pregnant (as proof of pregnancy) and confirming my sons birth date and time and newborn care (adjustment) (as proof of live birth), she notarized it and I just keep it in a file for when I go forward to get him a passport. I haven’t done a passport yet bc I didn’t have full info and thankfully this group is providing it ?? so hopefully I will soon, even though I’m still a little hesitant to have him on any record…

It was really wild though, while I was pregnant my son kept bringing to my awareness that he would not be registered – I had literally no idea that that was even an option or why and had to awaken to the system while pregnant due to his prenatal demand. It felt crazy then but all makes so much sense now. He also insisted on being free birthed and promised it would go well and there was nothing to fear ?

Sending you blessings for a wonderful birth ?

Thank you so much Hugh! Very helpful. It looks like I already have the CLBC from Obama’s example. I was thinking I would need to obtain my actual birth record, rather than a certified copy with my name in all CAPS. But it sounds like this is not necessary.

If there are any California Nationals in this group that have any input on this, I would appreciate it! I do not personally know any.
Thanks again for the Badwolf links. I have been consuming a lot of information from his videos and am learning a lot!
