How are you experiencing Terrain paradigm?

One of the golden nuggets of Terrain that I learned through Adam and Josh Bigelsen was that the way wo/man views and interprets the process of nature can impact our perception of where we belong within the natural cycles of life. While Charles Darwin’s “survival of the fittest” theory suggested that natural changes are caused by genetic mutation and competition, his predecessor Jean-Babtiste Lamarck looked at nature and saw that change is conscious and continuous; and dynamic relational interactions create change as the needs of an organism are expressed in its environment. I got to see the microscopic evidence in the University of Terrain course as we witnessed some of the phases that life energy (endobiont) expresses in its changing environment in a process called pleomorphism.

Even more thrilling is in the everyday observations I make as I look through the lens of Lamarck’s presumptions: that all living systems move towards a state of balance and harmony, require consciousness to detect and carry out change, and that evolution has 3 phases: 1) parasitic (an organism requires a host to survive which stimulates adaptation), 2) adaptive (an organism gains independence, interacts and influences the environment), and 3) symbiosis (a life form achieves perfect balance with its environment, giving and receiving in perfect amounts).

Watching the cow’s body adapt to give birth and nurse her calf, seeing the alder trees decompose and become host to yummy oyster mushrooms, compost, soil, and everything that grows; I see this natural pattern in so many places and yearn to come into alignment with it not only in farm systems, but in all systems.

Seeing it in social situations is also bringing insight and joy into my life. In stark contrast to the storytelling rules of grade school (man vs. man, man vs. nature, man vs. himself), Terrain is guiding me towards hearing the harmonic symphony of life. It’s Life’s momentum; and if I’m unwilling to change to be in a symbiotic relationship with what’s true in my environment, then the Law of compensation will so lovingly give me a kick in the pants to get moving:).

Would anyone care to share their observations of how Terrain paradigm reveals itself in their life?

❤️?I am really really focusing on my emotional terrain. I do a ton of things to support my Physical terrain, but I really paying attention to the vibration that I carry in my body. I work with horses every day and when you get within 10 feet of them, they settle your nervous system down. They’ll match their heartbeat to yours and they don’t want to be around anyone that is anxious or angry, so I am always aware of the vibration I am carrying, and it definitely has impacted my life and my toroidal field! As a mom, I am learning that the emotional field that I carry around me hugely impacts my kids and the better I get it carrying the high vibration I can see the healthier my kids are becoming! ?

Hey Amber, cute pics! I also love the honest evaluation that animals can relay to us about our emotions and energetic state. Have you had an opportunity to use the Trust Technique by James French? Most animal lovers are doing it already, but James teaches how to be in the present moment and use mindful regard to pace and lead our animal friends into states of healing, with animal communication often being a byproduct of deep connection. He’s doing some great work with different rescues and he demonstrates how Trust (a word in my Law vocabulary) works to forge relationships with dogs, cats, horses, bear, lions, humans, yourself… Very inspiring stuff! Thanks for sharing!

I have done a free series that he offered last year on the trust technique! That’s when I really started to implement mindfulness around my animals and my dog to a much greater extent and I notice a Huge difference w my horse, daughters and my dog!! I’m an INFJ so I naturally live in the future but I am learning how good it feels to be right here in this moment breathing every.single.breath❤️?❤️

Quite beautiful what you both have posted. Thank you! We have much we can learn from our surroundings if we can both take the time and look. Focus is something human beings seem to be losing.
