Topical DMSO

Hey y’all.. I have a couple questions for the community regarding the use of DMSO topically..

I’m not new to using DMSO internally, and have used it just a bit topically as well.. Internally, I used it last year as part of a two-month MMS (chlorine dioxide) protocol.. I won’t go into MMS too much, but it had the effect of creating itchy skin in the form of what felt like rashes, which by my interpretation was my body trying to expel whatever needed to get expelled.. One of the worst areas for the itching has been the neck, with a rash-like texture on the skin.. And since I adopted Uropathy over 4 months ago, this process has continued, along with the itching, which I still interpret as my body trying and trying to expel something..

And then I got to thinking about how Amandha Vollmer described her early days of experimenting with DMSO.. She said she did a daily application on the face and neck.. Her motivation may have been non-specific, just exploring, but I’d like to find the video interview where she talked about it, and I’m not sure which one it would be.. If someone has a link to that specific talk, I’d love a link if you can hook me up.. I’d like to hear her speak on it again..

But what I do remember from that particular presentation is that at some point she said puss started to exude from her neck.. She said she continued to use the DMSO topically, as I recall, and said also that she thought it had something to do with detoxification of the thyroid.. This is something I want to seriously consider, as I have long-standing low thyroid function (hypo).. I went off of synthetic hormone for a year successfully, without any apparent issues (and also stopped high blood pressure treatment for a year without issue).. Both came back recently in full force, with the symptoms of low thyroid being unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.. It is my view that this (along with other things) is just part of a rebalancing, which has obviously been ongoing, and especially since I hit the urine and aged-fermented urine daily pretty good..

Not to go much further into it, as brevity is not my strong suit, and I want to get to the point.. I want to accelerate or help along the process as much as possible, and I got to thinking about what ADV said about topical DMSO on the thyroid area.. It’s my very strong feeling that something is stuck or clogged in the thyroid and has to be loosened up and pulled out – simply put..

Anyone out here have any experience with topical DMSO?? If so, how does it go for you??.. (Doesn’t have to be on the neck specifically).. I’ve applied 99% DMSO on the skin and it does burn, so I know I need to dilute it.. I’m inclined to go to 20%.. What have you used??

Any help, feedback, and insights welcome.. as are any questions..

Ha! I just finished applying a DMSO/Castor Oil rub on my face before I opened this web page! Synchro! Firstly, I remember that podcast with Amandha too! However, I have no idea what to search for to find it. I think of her experience often though when I use DMSO. I don’t have any profound stories to share of that magnitude, but can say that I did have about a three week stretch while applying it to my face where I had a couple of zits that formed and hung around for that whole period of time. I haven’t had acne issues since I was a teenager, so I presume those whopper whiteheads were a result of DMSO pushing things out.

Personally, I don’t really dilute the DMSO when I use it topically. In my opinion it doesn’t really burn so much as it just itches like crazy for about 10 minutes or so. Or maybe it does burn and I’m just a bad ass. ? I would try diluting it with a soothing oil like coconut or castor oil. From what I know about castor oil, that may help accentuate the release of whatever the blockage you are sensing. Or referencing my reply to DMSO eye drops I just posted to your query in a different thread, dilute it with urine.

My dude, you are in fact a badass, with these fantastic suggestions.. Yes, combining DMSO with fermented urine for topical application — perfect idea.. And so is castor oil, which is a great reminder.. I’ve been meaning to look up to see what ADV says about castor oil, as I’ve never used it.. A bit of basics would be good for me.. More importantly is knowing about the quality.. I know some castor oils are extracted with solvents, and there’s also the issue with it having the proper chemistry, or that it’s not refined.. I did not retain exactly what it is I need to look for when purchasing.. Castor oil has in fact been getting my attention recently, so thanks for the reminder!..

But also, maybe a trifecta??.. DMSO + fermented urine + castor oil ??.. That might cause an explosion.. Lol.. ?

Thanks for the feedback and input.. Very helpful!.. ?

Remember DMSO is a carrier drug and enhancer. It can help take other medications into area of concern. Also as an enhancer it can double or triple the effect of other drugs so have to be very careful of dosages.

On sprained ankles i used 70 percent DMSO and 30 percent distilled water and wrapped in cellophane. It slows down evaporation. I would find a different substitute for cellophane tho. Never know if BPA is in it or not.

The Aloe Vera Gel DMSO is easier on the skin if it is to be used for extended periods of time.

DMSO is also great for getting swelling down and pain management.

The book DMSO the persecuted drug is a good resource. Or DMSO Natures Healer.

I ran across some thyroid solutions but would have to check my notes.

Hi Dale.. Thanks for responding and the reminder about Aloe Vera.. I do have a couple plants, so if I need to add it for a soothing effect, I got that.. And the advice about wrapping to prevent evaporation — very good, hadn’t thought of that.. That may come in handy.. Though I am wondering what I can do to circumvent using a material made of something, or containing something, that may react with the DMSO (cellophane, plastic, vinyl, etc.).. So i’m thinking maybe just a warm moist cotton towel wrapped around the neck after application..

Thanks again, mate.. Much appreciation.. ?

    Hey man,

Ive used DMSO on my skin, mostly on large scar, (from skin graph 25 years ago) for about a year now with great results. Little TMI here but my protocol after getting out of the sauna:

Coconut oil on the hands then face.

Dip into DMSO gel (70 dmso/30% water) and apply it on my 8×1 inch scar

I then rub any excess gel onto my hands and face. ☺

No itchy but can smell my own garlic breath ?occasionally now but it was every time when I first started the regimen. The results have been amazing; the scar has reduced in length about 1 inch; the width is reduced about 25% and beginning to split in the middle with healthy new skin; the ‘puffiness of the scar is dissipating and you can see ‘it’ clearing up.

Pretty amazing although I must include that Ive been using Aqua Cure for 3+ years and George claims that Aqua Cure/H2 use healed his scars. SO, maybe H2 and DMSO are both making principle contributions to scar ‘healing’

I think your instincts are spot on. Your are healing, re-balancing and working back to homeostasis.

Thanks for sharing, James.. I appreciate your taking the time.. Your method is helpful for my understanding.. And just to share a little bit here.. Your treatment of your scar tissue got me thinking now about one of my own scars and something that may be a core foundational thing for me..

In brief — I was born with a hernia right above the navel.. It started to bother me with I was 13, and impulsively (in 1983), we had it surgically remedied (what they called a remedy).. It was essentially fat tissue bulging through the fascial layer, relatively shallow in depth.. They cut the fat away and sewed up the fascia (at least that’s what the hospital records said).. But that area has since given me big issues, especially with abdominal nerves, and that fact that it’s right on the solar plexus, and I’m born under the sign of Cancer, the solar plexus being my seat and center of experience, where traumas and upsets can get lodged in a big way.. Recently, my new kinesiologist dug right into that area and helped me start to release some long-term trapped energy.. It was brilliant and right on cue..

So the mention of your scar has drawn my attention to possibly using DMSO and/or Castor oil in that area for detoxification.. I can tell you, without getting really graphic, that the solar plexus work the other day did in fact release trapped toxicity.. And I know some people apply Castor right into the navel (which is in the vicinity).. So I’m wondering if this is some pathway I could seriously consider, if DMSO and/or Castor could help break up and detoxify trapped pockets..

Thanks for leading me to these thoughts.. Very very helpful!.. ?

    Hey Kev,

Not sure if this is the video you were thinking of, https://yummy.doctor/video-list/all-about-dmso-a-miracle-healer-experiences-and-protocols/, but at around minute 13:50 and at 21:20 she talks about that. She also talks about the black salve to pull things out, plus a liver cleanse, coffee enemas, and castor oil pack on the liver; if the liver is clogged, it will use the skin to push things out. And make sure all organs of elimination are draining properly, all of which I’m sure you already know. I like Palma Christi Gold castor oil, or Queen of the Thrones castor oil, https://www.shopqueenofthethrones.com/collections/2023-24-castor-oil, (Dr. Cowan did an interview with the founder of Queen of the Thrones a while back that had good info on castor oil packs).

    Hope that helps some!

Hi tanya!.. Thank you sooo much for taking the time to pull up these resources and even time-stamping the video points for me.. So thoughtful!!.. I’m sure this is indeed the specific video.. And Dr. Cowan’s interview with Queen of the Thrones was what I wasn’t remembering.. I did watch that and remember the specifics about good Castor oil (just didn’t remember the who and where to find the info. again).. So thanks for looking out!

And you’re right about detoxification pathways.. That’s been a long-term effort on my part, as the Harma drugs I took for years significantly threw that out of balance.. I’ve achieved some rebalancing with focused herbal therapy (with the help of a naturopath), but I go off-kilter easily.. The kinesiologist I’ve recently started seeing for a herniation has done thorough assessment of the digestive tract, and has given me a path forward in that regard — lowering stomach pH with animal protein not combined with carbs, optimizing bile quality, and moving a stagnant tract.. He recommended some supplements, including certain digestive enzymes and liver detoxifiers such as Fenugreek and Bovine liver fat extract (which I’m willing to take).. May do all of that, but at the very least, I got herbal therapy under my belt and know what to do if that’s the only option.. He also recommends minimizing carbohydrates (especially the grass family of grains).. They’re all inflammatory (especially how they’re grown and processed these day), and he has found that the whole lining of the tubes through the gut are inflammed.. So, a bit of a plan in place there..

Just thought I’d share.. Thanks for taking the time, my friend.. ?

Hi! I think the dmso is a good idea. I’ve used it internal and external. I tried a ton of things for my skin itchiness and it went away after two weeks of genmo tilia timentosa. Dr Lando said it is what he used to prescribe for shingles or nervous system issues. Since my rashes had been going on for 10 year thought worth a try and in two weeks mine are gone. Might be worth a try.

Another idea is to look up the Bach flower remedy map. I have the book but you can look online and see what emotion and floral essence is associated w the back of your neck. That didn’t work for mine, but it does for many people. Might help to see if you identify with the emotion listed. You can type in Bach flower remedy body map and get different images that might be easier to read.

Have you tried iodine for thyroid? Tilia timentosa is also good for high blood pressure. Dr b says use it 2-3 times a day for three months and then taper off slowly.

Ah yes, another good reminder that I need to reorder Selenium pills.. I do eat a fair amount of legumes, but the fact that I’ve gone more carnivore + eggs these days is a good shift for me too.. The best sources.. Thanks Dale!.. ?

Amber!.. I have taken iodine, but not consistently everyday over a long period with testing to see where the thyroid hormones are.. Wasn’t sure what I was doing, so didn’t really focus on iodine.. And I learned that an amino acid Tyrosine supports the thyroid as well, as a precursor to thyroid hormone.. Have been wanting to go natural without supplements as much as possible.. That’s why I’m thinking thyroid detox is the essential route to take at this point..

I had to look up Tilia tomentosa.. Sounds like a nervine (antispasmodic, sedative).. Interesting how that worked for you regarding your rashes (though you can’t put plants in specific, narrow categories like that, saying it’s just for nerves).. But for high blood pressure, that’s good information.. I’ll consider anything.. I kept the blood pressure normal for a year with just raw Flax oil in my diet everyday (and that does work).. When I don’t have it, the blood pressure goes back up.. I lapsed on it, but got it back going again, and the low thyroid hasn’t help, as it can lead to HBP.. Also got some “black seed” oil (Nigella sativa), which is supposed to be potent for blood pressure balancing..

I get herbal tinctures from HawaiiPharm, and the Linden (Tilia) they offer isn’t exactly species tomentosa, something slightly different.. Will have to look into that.. I also tried Arjuna (an Ayurvedic herb) I got from HawaiiPharm, but not sure what if any effect that had..

Thanks Amber for all this information!.. The Bach flower remedies are a great idea for trapped emotional trauma.. My naturopath is trained in Bach.. Never spoke with him about those, but that might be on the agenda next time.. And hey, it might just so happen that the Calendula flowers I got sprouting right now will be the perfect remedy for entrapments in the solar plexus and thyroid.. Wouldn’t *that* be a riot of a synchro??.. Lol..

No problem I was doing research on the different variables involved in the disease pathways. I knew it was complex but not this bad. Lucky I am a math geek and can formulate a solution. 🙂
