The FDA “report” which was irritating to read as they literally never referenced the actual studies that I could see, is for a pharmaceutical intervenous MB. This means, it is being injected straight into the blood stream. I take the buccal, but let me be clear, there is no way I would ever recommend taking MB intravenously. Almost anything injected into the blood stream is a bad idea and should only be done in very extreme circumstances such as emergency catastrophic events. (Excluding hydration solutions) MB has been used this way for cyanide poisoning in the past (which is what this product they are reporting on is). Concerning the animal studies: What they do in animal experimentation is completely overload the poor critters with enormous amounts of a compound until they have a reaction. If one does this with anything, eventually the animal will sicken in one way or the other, it’s not only horribly archonic, inhumane and unethical but also completely unscientific and dishonest.
Now all that said, honor your intuition and your body. If you feel like MB is not right for you then, ditch it. There are plenty of other great plants/substances out there to help us. If you are looking for a good, whole food high powered antioxidant I really like açaí berry, particularly for men.
