Mommadre05ParticipantHey! So my boyfriend got cut really bad on the back of his heels, right near his achilles tendon. His mom, who is a nurse said it’s definitely infected and he needs to take an antibiotic, but he doesn’t want to. What are his options???

AmberMemberOff the top of my head.
Urine
Ozone water or air
Making mms solution (chlorine dioxide)
Gentian violet -it’s a medication but super cheap and it has worked wonders for me! You can get it at drug store. $3
If it were me and you wanted a cheap solution, I would do hydrogen peroxide, and then seal it with gentian violet… Without seeing how big the cut is, it’s hard for me to say… Or, if you can find somebody with an ozone machine and a leg bag, that would be my suggestion!
The urine would be a great way to purify it also before the gentian violet
Here’s a site if you choose chlorine dioxide https://kvlab.com/chlorine-dioxide-kit-w-hcl-4-fl-oz

ElizaMemberHi Andrea, https://www.walmart.com/ip/289855176 – yes “Germa” is the brand.
A small bottle is about $3 – it’s not as “natural” remedy technically – I’d say it’s similar to petroleum jelly in that it’s not natural but it’s sort of considered strangely harmonious with the human body… it just does such a great job of closing—up wounds and helping isolate stuff that your body wants to expel (oozy stuff, dead skin) and creates such a great instant scab / protective layer.

ErinMemberI think all of the above suggestions are excellent and I would add using the isopathic SymbioNot. When my husband had a severe abscess on his thumb last year that caused his nail to fall off and created intense swelling and pain the ER doctor insisted he take antibiotics, but we chose not to. We also used colloidal silver topically and he took the SymbioNot orally.

AmberMemberI trust any of Pam ‘s things, and you can find it on this site or you can always try the sovereign silver brand which I’ve had incredible luck with and you can find that at a health food store.

PennyMemberHi Andrea, how is he doing, swelling, puss, pain? Make sure he is keeping the cuts clean with plain soap and warm water. He can also do warm compresses. Avoid cold applications such as ice packs.

PennyMemberWould he be open to an herbal antibiotic such as goldenseal?
-
July 2, 2024 at 8:58 am #393465
Mommadre05MemberAbsolutely! To be honest, it’s more me saying no antibiotics since I’ve recently learned how bad they are, so he’s up for anything 😭. His mom just sent him a “care package” in the mail since she lives so far with antibiotics in it 😤, which he doesn’t plan on taking but I’m praying the products i ordered get here before her package so he’s not tempted.
Is the herbal antibiotic something i can order online??

ElizaMemberHey @mommadre05 – I joined yummy mummy premium for a year…was thinking of you and how everyone is doing over there. Adv’s telegram group is free and has a specific method for asking medical questions – it seems like perhaps that could be a nice place to find mummy-community too 🙂 hugs 🤗
