The name is new to me, but the concept sounds familiar. Using nature to alert you when to plant what in the garden. I love the idea. I bet some of you know far more about this, too! Please share your thoughts, even if just one detail!

    Here’s just a bit of the article’s lists……
Nature’s “signs” are different in every region; however, you should still relate to these examples:

Oh, this is right in the vein of the long traditions and knowledge and knowing behind The Farmer’s Almanac.. People who don’t understand think the Almanac is but some predictive or fortune-telling nonsense, when it fact it’s a matter of living attuned to the Natural Order and riding the waves of nature, and knowing or being able to discern complex patterns and long-term cycles, especially in reference to the sky clock.. One thing that happens over here isn’t in isolation, and combined with many other factors, can show you what will happen such & such time down the line, later in the season.. Nothing’s random or coincidence — but rather complex patterns..

I would add to these basic guidelines of what to do when, in reference to other things, is that there may be other factors involved in the best times to take action.. Say the guideline is to plant or transplant such & such when such & such tree is leafing out — well, might be also worth considering other factors such as is this other type of tree doing something unusual, or has there been way too much rainfall and cooler temps, making it too cold & wet.. Complex pictures to consider..

I love this stuff.. This is real science..
