Hello all,

Not sure which group this post belongs in; however, I’ve just been introduced to Summarize.tech which provides an AI based service to summarize long videos. They advertise YouTube videos but I plan on trying other formats as well.

I’m stoked to use this on the vast library of available videos on this platform (not to mention End of Covid which I purchased also) to summarize the videos and ultimately ingest the information in to a private gpt to have all the information available via prompts to interact with.

Another thing you can do is pull the video from YouTube, and publish on Q-Tube, in this way you can imqortalize the video (yea, immortal+Qortal = imqortal). We must get content creators to the point that they understand this fact.

I use it quite frequently for summarizing long YouTube videos to determine if I actually want to take the time to watch them. It seems to do a good job, often confuses speaker identification though. It appears it’s limited to just YouTube as I’ve tried to import Rumble and AV videos to no avail. Generally, what I do is copy and paste the summary to ChatGPT and tell it to remove the timestamps and redundant introductions for each paragraph.

I find it as a very helpful tool as I can consume more content than I would have otherwise simply for not wanting to watch a 1-2 hr. video. Hope that helps!
