    Hi Dr. Barre,

First of all I want to say thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and knowledge. I follow your podcast and the AV co-op group religiously. I am a naturopathic doctor and classical homeopath in clinical practice in Ontario, Canada. Your platform is what I’ve been seeking for a long time, so thank you for all that you and Mike share every week.

I would really like to get some more hands-on learning and was wondering if you know of anyone in my neck of the woods who would be open to some sort of mentorship, or whether this is something you would consider doing for more advanced medical practitioners who want to take their practice to the next level. I know you guys have a lot in development so perhaps this is something you’re already thinking about.

The other question I had was, have you seen or do you know much about Polarity Therapy? I came across it more recently and have been reading several books and trying out some basic techniques on myself and any willing participant (lol)– it seems to connect a number of different modalities in a deep way so it is appealing but just curious to hear your thoughts on it, if you’ve heard of it.

    Thank you again!

    Renata

I want to very much ditto your sentiments Renata. I’m a holistic psychologist and -would also love to take my work to next level. I love what you’re sharing Dr. Barre-such a wealth of experience and wisdom. I’ve been listening to your info on isopathics etc on medical mythology podcast and have been thinking a lot (since I did bigelsen blood analysis esp) about ways to support better drainage. Am deeply appreciative of your sharing and the directness and clarity of it. Any suggestions for further training or mentorship appreciated.

    Many Thanks

    Dorothy

Further to my earlier post– do you have any recommended resources I can look into for biological ionization analysis/electro-biomechanics/the line of resistance? I’m embarrassed to say this is the first I am hearing about these concepts and clearly they are vital for a deeper understanding of a patient’s health.

    Hi Renata

Dr. Randolph Stone, the innovator of formalized “jumper cable” medicine ie. Polarity Therapy was an important early influence in my education. His work was adopted into my early circles within Applied & Clinical Kinesiology. Our understanding of bringing organs/tissues/muscles back on-line following neurological interruptions often required re-establishing current flow between these body parts with associated lymph, circulatory, meridian etc. networks.

For example, if a treatment sequence involved the gracilis muscle relative to its lymph drainage being compromised, I would manually contact a particular area of the muscle ie. golgi tendon, mm spindle cells etc. with one hand (index & middle finger pads) while doing the same with the opposite hand placed on the neurolymphatic complex unique to that muscle. While instructing the patient to relax into abdominal breathing I’d wait until a strong & synchronized pulse was palpable with both contacts. The practitioner is simply interjecting his/her personal current into the circuit to “jumpstart”, and thus re-establish flow.

Stone created his own system of contact points, but the technique gains much versatility the more one knows. Another technique using polarity contacts is Jin Shin Jyutsu as taught by Mary Burmeister. I learned this technique myself, and it works brilliantly as a meridian tx adjunct or stand-alone … I always had a JSJ practitioner in my clinics for pre-tx or post-tx clearing or integration.

The palpation of “pulses” is a big deal in manual medicine, and reflects internal movements independent of heart beat. When making a cranial adjustment, for instance, a pulse will be spontaneously initiated once the vectors of correction are properly established. The adjustment is complete when the pulsation stops, which is opposite to waiting for it to get stronger as with PT. Lots more to talk about here on many levels that can bring in the work of Reich and other foundational principles operating within the larger “Realm”. Thanks much for the question!
