Possible Temporal Arteritis

    I broke down and went in to the ER for the Wim Hof thing recently.. The pain was getting crazy and I cracked.. The ER Doc said its likely Temporal Arteritis, although he couldn’t confirm because I politely refused the scans and blood draw.. He was pretty certain its nothing life threatening, as I don’t have any other symptoms other than pain and localized sensitivity.

    An internet search showed treatment is usually steroids (possibly an auto immune problem, i guess) and all the obvious lifestyle changes that I am already doing (except sufficient stress management). I do recall my WBC count was a bit low the last couple times I had it checked before 2020 🤔.. Aside from a chronic back pain from old injuries, Im really healthy and active, never been sickly at all. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

      Yes, you bet. It was a previous post of mine. I was over-doing the exercise 4 years ago and something snapped or cracked in my temple. I would say it mostly healed over that time once or twice, but I would eventually re injure it. It has gotten more and more sensitive each time Ive aggravated it and now Ive been speaking in a whisper for about 3 weeks.
