Parasite confusion

There’s so much conflicting information about parasites and I never know what to think. Some people say they’re the cause of (or at least related to) every disease and we need to kill them off. Other people say that they’re doing us a favor because they’re consuming heavy metals and other toxins. Terrain theory, as far as I can tell, refers to them as a natural part of our ecosystem and we should focus on overall balance rather than killing anything. Yet I see terrain people advocating for natural parasite cleansing (not by using ivermectin or other pharmaceuticals). I’ve done a few natural parasite cleanses using Global Healing’s parasite protocol and I now have a parasite zapper, but I’m wondering if I’m doing the wrong thing by trying to kill off parasites.

I would also like to hear some more about this. I have always understood them to be not welcome visitors

This is an outstanding question for me as well.. The extreme terrain perspective doesn’t really work for me — i.e. that parasites serve a purpose and just let them be.. It’s a bit absurd honestly, to think that something can’t come into your body and do harm as an opportunist or parasite.. that’s the nature of this biological realm as far as I can tell, at least in some respects.. At best, I personally think they’re able to get in because the terrain is out of balance, and so it’s a hospitable place for them.. they’re at the very least opportunists.. and do they serve a purpose, even a beneficial purpose, while in our bodies??.. I would say yes.. It has to be a combination — maybe they do a “clean-up job” in some ways, while also wreaking havoc..

I caught a nasty fungus on my feet back in 1992 (I’m calling a fungus a parasite here).. It devastated me for many years (laid me up in bed for periods of time).. Never been able to get it cleared from my body, and no longer try.. At this point, it’s coming to light, in the healing work I’m doing, that it’s part of a larger complex of factors that have led to ill-health developed over the years, including diabetes, just to start (i.e. a devastated liver, GI tract, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, all of it).. as I purge deeply-embedded traumas, and release what’s holding me down, this fungus is revealing itself.. So I can’t possibly say this is “beneficial”, other than the philosophical point that it’s an enormous challenge to make me stronger.. Otherwise, purely biologically, it’s not a positive..

I’m gonna be embarking on Moritz’s liver/gallbladder cleanses here soon enough, and I’m hoping to see some things flushed out — liver flukes, worms from the gut which found a nice home due to the fungus setting up camp, etc.. In the end, my default position is that such things don’t belong.. And here’s a point to make — many plants have natural “anti”-parasite actions and will in fact kill them or flush them out.. So, if this isn’t a necessary thing or function, why do the plants offer these abilities for us??.. I say it’s for our benefit, to keep our bodies clean..

    that’s my brief 3 cents.. 🙂

Thank you for reply. My inclination is also that they are something unwelcome in our bodies. They’re not like bacteria, which we were born with. They seem like foreign invaders that cause problems for us. On a different note, what technique(s) did you use to successfully release your traumas?

That last question there, the answer to which is something I cannot yet put to words, and proverbially speaking is a very very long story.. I’ll mention some things as reference points — applied kinesiology, TuiNa energy work, language awareness and how I speak to myself and frame things, focused herbalism, and other things like turpentine and hydrogen peroxide (material medicine), and the most potent are tissue salts and homeopathics, hands down.. And it is in fact the very physical diseases I’m working on overcoming that are releasing the traumas.. My foundational central point-of-view is that “psyche is source”, and I’ve proven that out without any doubt.. no doubt about that.. every physical healing i’ve experience, or every quantum step-up, or breakthrough, has been attendant with a shift in psyche and emotional-trauma release.. It’s all wrapped up together, and I no longer separate any of it, and am actually quite honestly hard-pressed to anymore *solely* use the “cause and effect” perspective.. and *definitely* not the quasi-allopathic “take this herb for this condition”.. It can be valuable, but it’s not the end-all..

And as I’ve moved into this realm of thought and experience, I’ve come to see what I call “informational medicine” as the key.. or “informational-energy” medicine.. *The* most potent and tangible things I’ve experienced have been a reflection of homeopathics in alignment with psyche.. Material medicine is part of it, and so is reductionism, and cause-and-effect, as all of those are reference points, doorways, and part of the physical-biological, yes.. there’s a bigger/deeper/more complex picture.. But again, difficult to put to words the *actual* experience of getting to it and finding resolution.. and it’s an ongoing story that won’t have an end.. there is no “finis”.. Lol..

don’t know if this spontaneous flurry of the fingers helps, but there you are.. 🙂

(and I will tack on — the chronic fungal infection, and very possibly a lifetime of parasites picked up here & there, as I said, wrecking my gut; yes, I’m focusing on those in a sense (indirectly), and will see what information or messages come up in the process, and what needs to be cleared at the source/psyche/lodged emotions.. fascinating thing to experience.. we’ll see)..

Thank you Holly for the question as I also don’t have a clear answer in my mind. Kev, your perspective is gold as I am also reaching these same conclusions to deep healing and have not yet put them into words. Erin, thank you for the link to Daniel Roytas. I did listen to that as I am an avid follower of Dr. Cowan and will listen again. Bless you all!

Awesome.. Yep, I’m taking Dragon’s Blood now, love me some Pumpkin seeds and could eat a pound a day, got the Turpentine (taking a break, but heard the call back to it just yesterday).. and damn, Shilajit is way out of my budget.. But very keen on that one in particular as a chelator..

Also a reminder to make a fresh Cilantro tincture, which I keep forgetting to do.. Thanks Erin for this.. always looking out.. 💜

Doesn’t hurt to have an arsenal at-hand, right?.. 😊

(and hey, while I’m here, and not to take away from the original thread on parasites — I’m also taking NAC, and heard from a natural doctor in the UK (forget the name), that up to 2-3 grams/day is okay; so I’m taking up to 2.4 grams actually; but I’ve heard that duration of time is a consideration, and that you should take a break after I think 6 months, or something like that.. Anyone know anything about that?)..
