Hi Dr. Barre,

Im not sure what your take on Mono is, but I was hoping you had a recommendation for my son. He feels exhausted and not hungry at all. He is an athlete and is taking it really hard because he can’t train or keep up his weight.

The diagnostic test for Mono is predicated on a viral antibody test in which both the antibody & virus are theoretical constructs. So the question becomes … why the overwhelming fatigue? Is there swelling involved, and, if so, where? That would provide an important clue, and also guide the healing process to discover the terrain imbalances in need of support. If there’s any further information you’d like to share we could discuss this further.
