Is it broken?

Hello, I wanted to ask Barre if there is a way at home to figure out if a bone is broken. Our almost 4 year old jumped off something last night a little after 8:30pm EST, and we are not going to the hospital if we don’t feel like we need to, and right now we don’t feel like we need to. We were wondering if there is a way for us to figure out at home if his foot is broken? Any thoughts? Thank you

Hi! We will see what Dr B writes back. Might be worth going to a chiropractor for xrays. That way you are out of the system and the xrays are much cheaper there. If it’s broken you can get a boot online to stabilize and then I would put comfrey salve on it. I got some on Etsy. My broken toe healed that way last year after my horse stepped on it. Hope it goes well!!🙏

Hi Amber, thanks for the reply! We’ve been thinking if there is any way to get an x ray and stay out of the system. The chiropractors I work at don’t have an x ray machine, and I think a lot of them in our area refer out for ones…. And we aren’t really sure we want an x ray. 🤷‍♀️

I agree that Comfrey would be the best bet.. The way I use it to heal wounds is I take the dried root, grind it in a coffee grinder to a coarse grind, and then simmer it in water until it’s a thick, goopy water extract.. Then after cooling, I take thick cotton pads (like wound dressing pads) and sop up the liquid, put it on the wound, and secure it with an ace bandage (and change it out every few hours).. If you have the fresh root, I’d do the same thing, simmer it for extraction and make a poultice.. There’s also an herb called Boneset (Eupatorium perfoliatum) that I’ve heard of being used for broken bones, but it’s not one I know any more about, or have ever used..

With traumas like this, I also use homeopathic Arnica.. Have had stellar success calming down and accelerating the healing of traumas like this with Arnica.. Just this morning I was barefoot on my balcony garden and accidentally knocked a large stone off the table onto the top of my bare foot.. Quite the blow actually.. Taking Arnica every 2 hours and the trauma is markedly calmed down, as I would expect.. It helps calm it down and focus healing energy into the area.. The initial swelling of the flesh on the surface around the bone (which doesn’t appear to be broken) is already gone down..

    Hope this helps.. 🦒

I also would giver homeopathic Arnica 30c for trauma, inflammation. If you do find out it’s fractured or broken, then you can do 6c Eupatorium perfoliatum 2-3 times a day to heal the fracture/break . Also cell salt Calc Phos 6x 2 to 3 times a day

Otto 128 weighted tuning fork is used to dx broken bones. A great tool to have around. If it’s broken will be sharply painful and if not won’t be. I have tried it and tested out to be accurate. U can get o biosonics website. I would get a crystal foot to use on it as well-makes it more comfortable and user friendly. Some chiropractors have and use them.

So glad the Otto 128 helped. The sonic slider with regular size handle extender is a great one to use for speeding up healing. It’s from Biofield tuning store with Eileen Mckusick and she has a recorded 2 hour Sonic first aid class with many useful ways to use it. It really speeded up healing a pretty bad knee injury I had. Best of luck with all. So glad u were able to avoid hospital!

Thank you everyone for your responses.

I wanted to clarify: we are not sure we want to subject him to the radiation of an x ray. But we also don’t know if that’s foolish. We don’t want to use an herb or homeopathy of boneset, because I don’t know for sure if it’s broken, and if it is, I don’t know if it’s in the right place. I’ve read and heard to not use that it’s not wise to use that herb if the bone is not properly set (but is that just modern, conventional herbalism talking?)

Here is my husbands take: if it is broken, it will heal well enough at home. If it’s not quite in the right place, it will set itself right over time. Therefore, the negatives of getting an x ray or taking him to a conventional doctor outweigh the benefits.

My take: I have no idea if I’m being ruled by fear, but I believe it is broken. And I am giving him the homeopathic remedy Arnica (I only have 200c), which I think is helping with the bruising and swelling. I am trying to hold my hand over his foot to see if I can sense or learn anything, as well as heal it, but I will admit, I am not very well “trained” or sensitive to these sensations.

So, our goal is to be able to help him heal at home, without the use of conventional doctors or medicine. Unfortunately I probably won’t be using boneset unless I learn something else about it from someone I have faith in that indicates I should be giving it to him.

Comfrey is something we can start applying, and we will continue to use the arnica.

So, I guess that’s the book on the situation. 🙂

Interested to see what Barre says…I myself am wondering how I can improve the mineralization of my bones, including teeth. I have fractured and chipped teeth. I’m new to looking into the Dental Solutions and Illuminated CAL products. But, now w this discussion I am being reminded of nettle, comfrey, boneset…and the Otto 128 tuning fork for healing…appreciate you.

Ah, nettle! I had forgotten about that herb, but we have some we harvested last year, and it should be coming up soon. Thank you!

    Hello,

Just wanted to share this video incase it helps any, seems you can still apply comfrey root powder onto any injuries, old or new, even if it’s not broken. And useful for other things like calming the nervous system, creating circulation, detoxifying the body and helping the body regenerate it’s own cell growth, circulating good vitamins/minerals to areas that need healing.

This is very informative, I appreciate you sharing. I have access to a comfrey balm, but now I’m wondering if I should invest in the raw root and leaf. Thank you!

I thank you for sharing this too Tanya.

Last year I transplanted a few big comfrey plants within 1.5 ‘ of my house. They satisfied the decorative need (I do want to try them medicinally), but I’m thinking of re-transplanting as my home is >100 y/o and unsure of lead traces in perimeter soil.

Maybe I should post this question somewhere else? Anyone have a suggestion for testing plant/soil or using microbes to break down heavy metals/lead. I have an older EM liquid, that I’ve reinoculated with molasses, maybe it does the breakdown job maybe not.

I wanted to follow-up and throw in something that’s possibly a bit out there, or rather not at least very accessible.. I had seen a video a while back about how the Original people of Australia use the digeridoo instrument to accelerate the healing of broken bones (and possibly tears to connective tissues as well, like tendons & ligaments, I would think).. I can’t remember if they had any “data” on this method, beyond 1000’s of years of tradition.. 😀 .. But, the connection was the fact that sound analyses of the digeridoo show that it’s full of ultrasonic sound frequencies (outside of human hearing), and ultrasonic devices are used in the allopathic system to accelerate bone healing.. So something there maybe to ponder at least.. to me, intriguing, and also points to other things in the realm of sound that having healing qualities — chimes, drumming, etc.. things I very much gravitate toward and love.. 💜

One thing I know for certain is that children that age have an amazing ability to heal bone injuries incredibly quickly and efficiently. All the best.

I wanted to post an update. We were able to check with a 128 tuning fork, and it didn’t elicit any pain, so believe it’s broken. I was SOOO relieved after we did that!

He is healing up really nicely, and we are able to get a little movement in his foot every day. Right now it’s more swollen on the bottom of his foot instead of the top. I’m happy with how it’s healing.

Thank you everyone who replied, I appreciate everyone who shared your knowledge and resources!

I’m not familiar with 128 Hz tuning fork, so not sure how that’s used as an assessment.. But did you mean to say that the bone is *not* broken??
