(Damien speaking): Hi @Barre . I have a question regarding diabetes and people like my father who have been given little to no advice on how to properly adjust and heal, other than remedial dietary suggestions, and drugs. I have hesitated asking about this for many months now. My Dad, (who has consumed many of the Alfacast podcasts, and is a fan) was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I know you have addressed this topic before in this portal. And I have also heard you say “you can’t heal a word, and diabetes is a word” (which I fully agree with). With that said, my Dad has asked me if I would kindly ask your thoughts on this topic. He would like to approach his situation outside of any prescribed drugs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Ba

His A1C reading is above 6, below 7.

He was prescribed: Metformin to help regulate his blood sugar. He wants to move away from this.

In addition to diabetes, he grapples with high blood pressure. Between you and me, and anyone else who is choosing to read this: my Dad is a 77-year-old South Philly Italian hustler. My parents have two homes. When he’s back east, he’s the CEO, immersed in the fast-paced world of asset management and hedge funds. In their second home, he finds solace in nature in Zion Canyon, UT, where he enjoys hiking and connecting with the serenity around him. He’s old school, yet completely young at heart; a total paradox!

Last night during our executive co-op meeting, @alfawarrior mentioned the idea of having the next Alfacast a possible in-house chat. Just throwing this idea out there – what do you think about discussing ‘diabetes’ and ‘high blood pressure’ for the next Alfacast? Maybe also tying in other common diagnosis words(?). Would the conversation be compelling enough? Maybe not for most, however I think you would offer invaluable insights not only to my father but to countless others seeking alternatives to conventional treatments. Regardless of whether this suggestion resonates with you, please know that Annette and I hold immense gratitude for the love and support you and Mike provide to our community.

    Hi Damien,

I am sure Barre will answer but I wanted to give you something to help reframe “diabetes” to biorhythms instead.

Heathy blood sugar should be like a slow, low drumbeat. Low frequency and low intensity. People who have had the allopathic curse of “diabetic” thrown at them have high frequency and high intensity.

To decrease frequency, it’s literally eating less frequently, ie cutting out snacks between meals, and closing one’s feeding window. So let’s say dad eats from 9am-10pm. Closing that window one step at at time will decrease frequency. So, dad starts by no longer eating past 8 and starts at 10 instead. Does this make sense? Gradually closing the time between when he begins eating and when he stops along with no snacking between meals.

Now, decreasing intensity. First, excluding the the foods that cause intensity: sugar, maltodextrin, simple carbohydrates like pastas, rice and breads, juices, seed oils (especially canola) protein isolates, anything that is a chemical and not a food. Foods that help control intensity are healthy fats like olive oil, ghee, heavy coconut cream, avocado, nuts, seeds etc and fibers are really great helping out. Psyllium and high fiber foods like collard greens and strawberries. Ceylon cinnamon is amazing at helping intensity when taken with meals.

Protein should be kept moderate as it is a wild card, it’s helpful to a point but too much and things start heading the wrong direction. How much will depend on dads weight and what he likes to do for exercise.

Exercise is also a way to help a little with intensity.

Hi Penny, thank you for your note. I appreciate your input. My father adheres to a disciplined regimen when it comes to his dietary choices, carefully considering factors such as timing, ingredients, preferred oils, and snacking habits. Over 16 years ago, I had the privilege of working closely with my parents, assisting them in making significant life changes, including their relationship with food. My Dad went from roughly 190+ pounds, to under 170. Even though he can always continue to improve, his dietary strategy is perhaps the least pressing aspect amidst the comprehensive lifestyle modifications required.

My parents are avid explorers of alternative modalities, constantly seeking to enrich and refine their lives. While my brothers, our wives, and I continue deep diving them into more and more, we recognize the limitations of our collective research and shared insights. One reason I hesitated to approach Dr. Barre is my awareness of the changes I would personally suggest in his position. However, I am specifically honoring his request to seek Dr. Barre’s input, hopeful that it might offer a fresh perspective.

Thanks again for your kind note. I appreciate your insight and willingness to share. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

I think Dr Lando will have a great answer-but Dr Andy Kaufman, is doing a webcast within the next few weeks on how to heal diabetes. Might be worth subscribing to his channel so you get notified.

Hi Amber – Received the Dr Andrew Kaufman email this morning on “How To Cure Diabetes In Three Weeks.” …he went live at 12 ET. We sent the link to my parents. Crazy timing.

Damien, your parents are quite fortunate to have all of the family’s support on their journey. I would welcome your idea of such an AlfaCast. And, I think when those of us who try to lead a pretty clean lifestyle get hit by something like this, it would be so helpful to get ideas on how to approach solutions. It seems to be a different level that is needed beyond what is practiced by so many Alternative practitioners. Emotions, frequency/ph, toxin removal maintenance, and more. We are blessed with some on this platform that are aware of this and practice. I’m looking forward to hearing Dr. Barre’s thoughts as always.

Mary – thank you for your note! I agree with you. It’s a wonderful journey we’re all on. We’re mirror reflections of each other, especially within the family dynamic.
